Yu Yang

Dr. Yu Yang is a recipient of the National Overseas Excellent Young Scholars Program and Shanghai High-Level Overseas Talent Program. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Macau and conducted postdoctoral research in molecular medicine under the mentorship of Academician Weihong Tan at the University of Florida, USA.
Guided by clinical needs, his recent work focuses on developing tumor and immune microenvironment intervention technologies and related therapies based on functional nucleic acids and genetic engineering. Over the past five years, he has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers as a corresponding author in top-tier journals, including Chem (3), Science Advances (2), Journal of the American Chemical Society (4), Angewandte Chemie International Edition (2), Advanced Materials (2), Nano Letters (2), ACS Nano (2), and ACS Central Science (2). His publications have garnered over 7,000 citations with an H-index of 42, and multiple papers have been recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers.
Dr. Yang has led key research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Young Scientists Fund Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His honors include the Shanghai Shuguang Scholar Award (2024), University of Macau Postgraduate Research Award in Science and Technology (2018), and Baxter China Young Investigator Award (First Prize, 2019). He serves as a committee member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials and a council member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (Herbal Preparations Committee). Additionally, he is a Youth Editorial Board member for Nano Micro Letters, Exploration, and AJPS.
